What is organic avocado oil?

Our organic, virgin avocado oil is cold pressed from the flesh of organic Avocado fruit.

The oil is dark green to brown in colour with a distinctive earthy scent. Rich in essential fatty acids and vitamin E, A, B and D, the oil is greatly versatile.

Our cold pressed avocado oil is 100% pure and certified organic by the Soil Association. We are inspected annually to make sure we comply with their strict regulations.

Organic avocado oil for skin

Avocado oil is rich in vitamins and helps moisturize, nourish and protect the skin. It is often used in skincare products like lotions, creams, moisturisers, face masks and skin treatments.

It has a comedogenic rating of 3 so it is likely to clog pores for those with oily or acne prone skin. However it is great for those with dry skin and sensitive skin!

Make your own skin treatment with avocado oil

Ingredients

• Organic shea butter 100g
• Organic avocado oil 50ml
• Jojoba oil 50ml

Method

1. Melt the shea butter in a microwave or in a bowl over hot water.
2. Mix the jojoba oil and avocado oil into the melted shea.
3. Once the mixture is fully combined, place in the fridge to cool.
4. When the mixture looks like it is starting to set, use a whisk to mix it.
5. It should form a light creamy consistency, similar to whipped cream.
6. Now your skin treatment is ready to use!
