What is Cocoa Butter?

Cocoa butter is a hard, brittle oil that remains solid at room temperature. It is derived from cacao or cocoa beans. The process of obtaining cocoa butter involves grinding the cacao beans and then heating or pressing them to separate the cocoa solids from the fat.

Our cocoa butter is refined, white to cream in colour, and has neutral scent. It won't influence the colour or scent of the finished product. It is intended for cosmetic use only.

Quantities 25g - 10kg are packaged in resealable pouches. Quantities 25kg+ are packaged in boxes.

Cocoa butter is used in soap, body butter, skin and hair treatments as well as lip balm. Highly prized for its moisturising properties, cocoa butter is the touch of something special in many recipes.
