What is Peach Kernel Oil?

Peach kernel oil is extracted from the kernels of the peach fruit. Our oil is refined, which means that it doesn't carry the strong scent that you find in virgin peach kernel oil. 

Peach kernel oil is a light, non greasy carrier oil that absorbs well into the skin and does not leave greasy residue. It is a great alternative to sweet almond oil in skincare recipes, as it is a little lighter and easily absorbed by the skin.

It is also a great carrier oil for essential oils and aromatherapy as it has a mild aroma.

How to Use Peach Kernel Oil for Skin

Peach kernel oil has a comedogenic rating of 2, meaning is unlikely to clog pores. It is a very gentle oil and is great for all skin types including oily skin, dry skin, mature skin, and combination skin.

Peach kernel oil can be used in skincare products like creams, body massage oils, lotions, soap and skin treatments.

Ingredients

• Organic shea butter 100g

• Peach kernel oil 50ml

• Jojoba Oil 50ml

Method

1. Melt the shea butter in a bain marie or a microwave.

2. Once melted, add the peach kernel oil and jojoba oil and mix well.

3. Place the mixture into the fridge to cool.

4. Once the mixture is cool and starting to set, whisk for around 5 to 10 minutes. This should reach a whipped and creamy consistency.

5. Now your skin treatment is ready to apply!
