Origin & History
Organic eucalyptus essential oil is distilled from the leaves of eucalyptus trees, which are native to Australia.
Australia is home to almost all 700 species of Eucalyptus tree and around 500 of these species produce the essential oil.
Eucalyptus leaf infusions and the essential oil were traditionally used by the Australian Aborigines as a cure-all tonic.
The eucalyptus tree spread worldwide to Europe, China, Brazil, Greece and India and the essential oil has been widely adopted into traditional medicine all around the world.
Our organic eucalyptus oil is from the eucalyptus globulus variety, which is characterised by high levels of 1,8 cineole and limonene.

Another study showed that eucalyptus essential oil can be effective in relieving pain.
Due to its high concentration of cineol, the oil has antimicrobial properties and can be a perfect addition to your cosmetic formulations. You can add eucalyptus essential oil organic to your soap, shampoo, lotion or body butters for the classic eucalyptus scent.
Safety Precautions
Organic eucalyptus oil should be diluted with a carrier oil before skin application as it can cause skin irritation and sensitivity. Our eucalyptus oil is not suitable for consumption or any internal use and should be stored out of reach of children.
